Dr. Finley was born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After graduating from college in Michigan, she worked as a medical technologist at Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital and the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Medical school was done at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. She did her residency in Dermatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and at the University of Texas, Houston, with special time being spent at MD Anderson Cancer Institute.
Dr. Finley was board certified in Dermatology in 1986. She is a clinical associate
professor at the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota
and has been a faculty member for the 20 years she has been in practice in Rapid
City. She has recently been selected as one of America’s top dermatologists by
the Consumer Research Council
of America. She is a Fellow of the American Academy
of Dermatology as well as a member of the American Medical Association and Minnesota
Dermatologic Association.
Dr. Finley is married to Dr. Robert Finley, a Rapid City Neurologist. They have three children all in college. They enjoy traveling, hiking, reading and following their children’s multiple endeavors.
