Dr. Tamara Poling is a native of Vermillion, SD. She attended
the University of South Dakota and earned a magna cum laude Bachelor
of Science degree in chemistry in 1985. She spent the next year
at Oldenburg Universitat in northern Germany, earning a certificate
of fluency in German. In 1996 she began medical school at the
University of South Dakota, graduating magna cum laude in 1990.
Following a one year internal medicine internship at the University
of Colorado, Dr. Poling began her specialty training in dermatology
at the University of Colorado, in Denver, CO. She completed her
specialty training in dermatology in 1994 and successfully passed
the American Academy of Dermatology Boards.
Dr. Poling began her
practice of Dermatology at the Rapid City Medical Center in Oct.
1994. Dr. Poling and her husband love living and working in the
beautiful Black Hills and Rapid City. They have two sons and
when not following their sports, enjoy traveling, reading, golfing
and hiking.
